Lauryn Hill to Face Federal Tax Charges

Looks like more issues arise for rapper/singer Lauryn Hill. Recently, she gave birth to a child that Rohan Marley, son of reggae singer Bob Marley, denied. Rohan recently got engaged to a Brazilian model that he’s known just a little over a year. This is ironic, because Lauryn Hill is the mother of five of his children and the two have been involved for well over ten years. To add to all of this drama, Hill faces federal tax charges.

The five-time Grammy winner earned more than $1.6 million during 2005, 2006 and 2007, the three years for which she allegedly failed to file returns. Lauryn Hill also owns and operates four corporations. She could get up to one year in prison for each count and $300,000 in fines.

Lauryn Hill recently returned to the spotlight on Sunday, June 3^rd, when she made a special appearance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam alongside rapper Nas. She is scheduled to appear in court on June 29.
