Nolimit Larry Celebrity Charity Weekend November 8-10November 5, 2013 (Charlotte, NC) – Nolimit Larry prepares the Queen City for another action-packed, star-studded weekend Nov. 8-10. Larry will host three events to celebrate his birthday and support the Children of Murdered Parents (COMP) Program with celebrity friends. A COMP child who lost their father will also be honored during the weekend events.
Joining Nolimit this year will be former pro fooball player, Mushin Muhmmad; hip hop artist Pastor Troy, Ying Yang Twins, Smoke of Field Mob, Bettie Grind and Mr. 704 also R&B singers Sammie, Bertell and Mike of Day 26. Nonprofit founders Robin Emmons of Sow Much Good and Carrie Cook from EmpowHERment will participate as well. Radio personalities QCB and Sportie Odie have joined the cause along with models Alexis Green and Daiza Moore.
Nolimit Larry's Celebrity Birthday weekend is one of Charlotte's most sought after events. As the most popular radio personality in the Carolinas people travel from all over to celebrate the famed host’s birthday while giving back to a worthy cause, Nolimit’s COMP Program. COMP serves as the lifeline for children who have lost a parent to death. Through COMP, numerous children have been serviced in the community, largely due to the contributions that take place during this weekend.
One of COMP’s recipients will be honored during the Father/Daughter Dance and Celebrity Game. Kendall, a five-year old Charlotte girl, lost her father in 2010. She will be Larry’s Prize Child for the Weekend and will get to hang with the celebrities as well as get a special surprise during the event.
The Weekend festivities kick off with Guys & Dolls: A Father/Daughter Dance on Nov. 8. This year, fathers & their daughters will take flight at the Carolina's Aviation Museum from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, Guys & Dolls attendees will dress up, dine and dance like celebrities, because a girl’s first date should always be with her father. Mushin Muhammad will speak about fatherhood and a special performance by hip hop artist, S Dubb and his daughter Genesis will be a special treat for dads and daughters alike.
Nolimit Larry's birthday weekend would not be complete without a high stakes basketball game with Larry and his celebrity friends. For its 8th year in a row, the COMP Program is hosting They Got Game: A Celebrity Charity Basketball Game from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. This year's game will be held at West Charlotte High School on Nov. 9.
New to the 2013 weekend lineup is Rollbounce: An Old School Skate Party. Rollbounce will be the grand finale to Noleezy's birthday extravaganza on Nov. 10. Inspired by the 2006 drama film “ATL,” Rollbounce will be themed in true down south fashion. Kate's Roller Rink in Indian Trail will host the party from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The Children of Murdered Parents (COMP) Program was founded in 2005 by No Limit Larry under his family’s organization, Critical Times. COMP serves as the lifeline for children who have loss a parent to death by providing guardians or remaining parents with social and financial needs.
